Universal Kayak Locking System Easy and affordable way to keep your kayak safe and secure. The pair of steel cables work together to secure your boat to a fixed object, such as a tree, pier support post, storage rack, car roof rack, etc. Perfect for securing your boat when not in use.

Strong Design System consists of (2) 3/16" coil steel cables. Vinyl coating on cables help protect from any scratching on your boat, rack, or car.

Simple and Effective Both cables have two loops, 1 on each end - a boat loop (14" diameter, 45" circumference) and a locking loop. Secure boat by attaching larger loops to boat ends, wrap cable around a fixed object, then secure smaller loops with a padlock.

Sizing: This lock system comes in three different sizes. The Small Kayak Lock is 9ft lock and is designed for smaller kayaks. The Large Kayak Lock is 12ft long and is better for longer kayaks. The Canoe Lock is 14ft long for canoes.

How it works:

1. Slip the larger boat loop of each cable over the bow and stern.

2. Loop the long cable around a fixed object (like a rack, tree, car roof rack).

3. Use a padlock to secure the two cables with together using the smaller lock loops.

*Tip: Check to make sure there isn't enough "slack" in the cable for the boat loops to come off the ends of your boat. If so, wrap the long cable around the fixed object to decrease slack. See the image below for an illustration.

The key to this kayak locking system is that kayaks are tapered in size from the center out to the bow (nose) and stern (tail). This means that the width of a kayak in the center is always greater than the width of the kayak at the bow and stern. This allows the larger boat loops (discussed above) to slip over the bow and stern of your kayak, but not all the way over the center, keeping your gear secure once locked in place per the above instructions.

Note - Does not include pad lock.
