WHY 2 PLACE DOUBLE SIDED CANOE AND KAYAK RACK

The 2 Place Double Sided Kayak Rack is constructed from Northern White cedar which is rated best for weather resistant. Each rack has 4 5/8 inch post and feet and 3 in rails. Each rack is glued, bolted, and screwed with galvanized screws. Joinery where arms meet posts are 2 inch mortise and tenon giving full strength. Kayak Rack comes disassembled, but is very simple to put together with the torque-bit found in assembly kit and a cordless drill or the like.

For best longevity please choose one of the 2 finish options. We offer Natural which is light and may match your house or docks better. The Canyon Brown makes rack melt more into most backgrounds. We use a transparent penetrating oil to allow the wood to breath. This also enables you to recoat with ease when you see signs of wear.

For Do-it-Yourselfers, use a stain or outdoor finish in the color of your choice and follow the instructions on the can. Breathable finishes will extend the life of the rack the most. It is best to let the wood age a bit prior to finishing it. This helps the stain to soak in. You can also choose to leave it unfinished. In this case, it will weather to a gray color and still last for many years.

Strong and Durable The Freestanding Log Rack is handmade in the USA from Northern American White Cedar from Michigan. Rated for superior weather-resistance, the thick vertical posts and feet posts measure 4 ⅝” in diameter. The 40” long arms measure 3” in diameter each, and can support up to 100 pounds per level.

Customizable Finish Three finish options are available - natural, canyon brown, or unfinished (see pictures). If you choose ‘unfinished’, you can either leave the rack as-is, or finish it yourself at home with a breathable stain. A finish will add to the longevity of your rack by protecting it from elements and the occasional insect or wildlife.

Assembly and Set-Up With detailed instructions, assembly takes about an hour. An installation video is also available. To increase the rack’s longevity, we suggest setting it on landscaping blocks instead of directly on the ground. Additional ground anchors available.
